乐评提供:STY在我印象里，Gatecrasher一向是英国人的天下，以Judge Jules、Matt Hardwick为首的一批DJ为其做过多年主理，而且基本上雷打不动。这一次，这一英国大厂特邀德国首席DJ Paul van Dyk作为嘉宾完成全新一集着实会有些令人惊讶。和08年的Cream Ibiza不同，Gatecrasher主打的是Trance音乐，在宣传最新单曲的同时也不忘记回顾老作，这和Paul van Dyk的个人多元风格有一些出入，听过他的电台节目Vonyc Sessions的人不难发现，Paul从来不把音乐局限在某一种风格上面，这和他在现场的风格大相径庭，但是德国人的初衷是想带给人们特别是Trance迷们不一样的音乐：House、Techno甚至Drun & Bass都是他可能选择在节目中尝试的。这一次，在沿袭了GatecrasherAntherm系列Trance传统的基础上，Paul稍稍加入了个人风格，因此初听专辑的感觉确实不同于过往的Gatecrasher合集。3CD的版本PVD的单曲自然是要收录，但这次的版本全部来自他自己和别人的Remix版本，求新求变的德国人并不想躺在功劳不上吃老本，他希望把自己喜欢的版本带给乐迷，而大量Progressive Trance作品的选入也反映出近期PVD欣赏口味的变化：Aurosonic、Arty、Yuri Kani、First State等Progressive Trance艺人的作品被选进歌单，不难看出这种Trance类型音乐现在存在很大市场。House方面，一向受到P总喜爱的Kaskade与Deadmau5合作的单曲Move For Me继Cream Ibiza之后再次出现在他主理的混音作品当中。此外，为自己作品We AreAlive重新混音的ThomasGold，最近非常走红的西班牙艺人Tocadisco，曾化名Accadia红极一时的Michael Woods等若干House达人的作品也都出现在其中。当然，Uplifting必然还是PVD的主打，不论新作还是老歌，激昂的旋律在他任何一张专辑当中都能找到，姑且放下新作不提，像Flaming June、Café De Mar、Hold On To Nothing、Universal Nation、Silence、Synaesthesia等大家耳熟能详的经典作品在Gatecrasher的集子当中出现了不止一次，看来这家英国公司在“温故”环节做得非常好。虽说这次PVD和Gatecrasher联手推出合集，却难掩PVD“借鸡生蛋”之实，最近闹的沸沸扬扬Armada和Vandit联手的消息再加上即将推出的重头戏——10 Years of VanditRecords，此刻回顾一下新老作品，并借别人之手为自己新专辑发行造势才是PVD真正想要做的。同Armada合作对于目前处于水深火热的Vandit来说确实是明智之举，目前公司艺人流动性强，缺少看家艺人成了Vandit公司的弊病，然而，对于此次合作结果，德国人其实并不是百分百自信，因此，在两家联手推出10 Years of Vandit Records前，先借Gatecrasher替自己宣传一下无疑是明智之举，而论及专辑本身，如果换一位普通的DJ也可以做到这种水品，即便是PVD，也不能再在这类夜场公司合集上大展拳脚，系列的模式固定，让他们很难把自己的风格发挥出来，PVD+Gatecrasher无非就是鸡肋而已。
